Question Matrix: why no new games for this franchise?

The original Matrix game (Enter the Matrix?) was pretty good but it's graphics and game design were dated. It would be nice if there were a reboot of this franchise using a more modern game engine.

Honestly, as popular as the franchise has been, we're overdue for a proper Matrix game that utilizes all of the modern tech. I think Teyon also might be a suitable developer to take it on. They did pretty well with their Terminator Resistance game (and it's sp DLC mission), and Robocop Rogue City was pretty good too.

One interesting thing about the Enter The Matrix game is that it provided the back story for Ghost and Niobe (1st seen in Matrix Revolutions I believe). It talks about their missions that lead up to their saving Morpheus. It even has high quality cutscenes of FMV (i.e. not in-game animations but the actors from the movie reprising their roles just for this videogame). I believe there is even a cameo role for Trinity. It almost seems as if these FMV cutscenes were filmed during or after the filming of Matrix Revolutions.
