nice job on the lapping even though i don't really get it....think its for better heat transfer and contact with hsf right?...well is it easy to do? might try it on mine one day when i read up on it

katy perry is damn good!! and i found the vid funny but just a lil bit haha. anyhow thx. i'll see if i OC anymore soon. maybe later this week or next week. so that the thermal paste has sometime to burn in.

oh...btw the temp reduction for the cpu is definetly a plus to lapping your cpu. i think the overall temp of my comp has been reduced also... my side exhaust fan used to kick out warm arm...today it's pretty cool...but the weather today isn't that warm either i guess... but it's still and improvement. right now with trillian, firefox and winamp on i'm only at 93-95F for core temp... that should go even lower after the thermal paste is burnt in. =D maybe you could even go to 2.8ghz or higher if you lap it. =D

ive got my althon 4000+ on a sytche cooler and core voltages at 1.54 and am getting a 2.9ghz overclock my ram speed is drr400@drr333 2gigs of generic cheap ram.asus a8n sli se motherboard sata 2 hard drives raid 0 500gb x2.
HT@1200mhz
ATI radeon hd 4850
logisys 630watt power supply.

im sure u should be able to the same overclocks on a x2 if not more if u got up on the voltage
