A while back, my uncle gave me his old computer, so i decided to see what parts were in it. I found out that the gpu in it, a gigabyte 7870, has a length of 280mm.(https://pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-video-card-gvr787oc2gd)
Now, this supposedly exceeds the limit for my case, the diablotek cpa-6170 (https://pcpartpicker.com/part/diablotek-case-cpa6170), which only supports cards of up to 275mm. I took a look inside the case and it seems like it easily has another 15-20mm before the card hits the drive bays.
Do you think the number they say for the max supported gpu is wrong? would I be able to fit a 279 mm msi gtx 980 into it?
Thanks!
