max payne 3 cannot run

im using HP r203 TX. It has 2GB Geforce 820 M with 4GB ram & i5 5th Gen and i'm using win8.1 .
after all the procedures i have done , thegame still wont run.

what does it do when you try to run it?

Did you buy the game itself or did you buy though Origin or steam ect?

As said we need SPECIFIC information on what's happening.
a) Game installed from DVD, Origin, Steam?
b) Game definitely installed?
c) What ERROR if anything is shown when you attempt to launch?

Also...

1) If Steam or Origin you can VERIFY the game if it installed but won't launch (Google for how).

2) You also need to make sure the NVidia GPU is being used and not the Intel GPU. However you must get the game to launch before you can verify this; though I suppose the game might show an ERROR if the Intel GPU isn't supported.

Many NVidia GPU laptops have a tool called "Optimus" which has a list of supported games/applications to use the NVidia GPU otherwise they run from the Intel GPU instead. In some cases you have to manually add the game EXE file to the list.

3) Some games require you to enter the Activation code (though they should ask) and/or register your e-mail account.

I used STEAM and had no issues.

Actually i didnt buy the game. its from black box.

i did everything as per the instructions.
after everything the game didnt launch. i didnt get any error messages. i tried googling but it didnt help.
