Max Payne 3 can't move

I just installed MP3 and update it to version 1.0.0.82.
My problem is Max often stopped moving. I can move the camera, I can shoot, but Max can't move. It happened especially after taking weapon or slo mo mode. For example, after taking weapon, Max keeps ducking and didn't stand up at all. Is there any fix for this problem?

I have a wireless xbox controller but eventhough the receiver is connected to my PC but I didn't use the controller at all.
specs:
i5-2500K (oc to 4GHz)
HD 5850 (oc to 850/1150)
RAM DDR3 800MHz 8GB.

I think it's due to the controller.Even if you are not using it,I think the game is trying to detect input from the controller and over-rides the keyboard input.L.A.Noire had this problem.You could also try disabling mouse acceleration by writing---

-nomouseaccel
Disable mouse acceleration.

in the commandline.txt file.It is created by just right-clicking in the main game directory and creating a text file and naming it commandline.

Also,search the rockstar Support site .There was an entry about something where Max keeps rolling infinitely,but it was for XBOX 360.Hope this helps.

Okay,pretty frustrating problem. Are your input devices plugged in properly?Check them (especially the mouse) on another PC ,if available or via windows.Update drivers for the GPU.

I'm using the latest GPU driver from AMD (catalyst 12.10), and I can play other games perfectly using my keyboard and mouse. . I'll try to uninstall and then reinstall the game :-(

Ya ,there were a lot of weird bugs for me too.Re-installing the game fixed them.Do post back here about your results.

hi absxiith, I just found out that my problem is patch 1.0.0.82. After reinstalling the game and run on offline mode (by disconnecting my internet connection) I can play the game normally. I think I won't update the game for a while. Thanks for your help.

Ok,but there must be a solution other than that.

get xbox360ce, configure it for wireless xbox360 receiver. Install it, the config file and the xinput3.dll in the folder with the Max Payne 3 executable.

Thanks for your suggestion. I don't think the problem is because of the controller since even after I unplugged my receiver and uninstall the 360 driver controller, the problem is still there. I guess I just need to stay at 1.0.0.55 (my last working update for MP3).

If you're not using auto update then make sure you installed every patch, in order. Not just the latest one.
Had the same problem and that solved it for me.
