Max payne 3-out of range error!!

i just installed max payne 3....
n now when i open it ....i get 'out of range error' showing my frequency is far too greater than a particular freq
All my other games[arkham city & gta 4] run normally ....i get this with only max payne 3

I ran the game in safe mode....everythin works fine then...just the game open in a small window...
fullscreen is a problem...

my specs are:
19" LCD generic non-pnp monitor
Desktop Resolution: 1280x960
asus p7h55-lx mobo
gtx 660 2 gb ddr5
4 gb ddr3
i3-540

is there a way to fix this thing?

Sounds like Max Payne is having an issue trying to set to a higher resolution than your monitor will support.

Try changing your resolution in the Graphics.xml file and then starting it up in normal mode. Or, try setting the full screen graphics resolution in safe mode, then exit and start in normal mode.

okay...i got the graphic.xml file..what should i change the values to & how???

help me out!!
when i try to change the graphic values to fullscreen in safe mode..the game asks me to restart ..after which it opens again in the same manner...[small window] & the values are again set to their original...i.e no changes have been made...

yea..it worked....it opens almost in full screen...[just a small part of that window is seen]....ty

Try changing fullscreen value to 0 instead of 1 and see if that fixes that problem.

If you get the same crash, your RefreshRate is set to 240 in that config file for some reason. Set it to 60

changing the fullscreen value didnt help............
but changing the refresh rate did!!!!!!!!!
the game runs in full screen exceptionally well...
