I just bought a Acer Nitro 5 (2018 ver) with the model number of AN515-51-55WL (not quite sure on this yet until it arrives but this model matches the specs the seller was advertising it has) which has a Intel Core i5-7300HQ processor. From all the research I've done on this laptop everyone says it supports a max of 32gb of ram but on Intel's own data (https://www.intel.com/content/www/u...r-6m-cache-up-to-3-50-ghz/specifications.html) it's suppose to support a max of 64gb. Does anyone know which is correct? Plus I already know that 64gb would be overkill but I like to max things out hence the reason I'm going to do some modifications on the laptop. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Crucial shows 32gb - https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/acer/nitro-5-an515-51

Yes... The Acer Nitro 5 -AN515-51 supports DDR4 type RAM.
DIMM Type:- DDR4 2133/2400 SODIMM
Memory interface design: • DDR4 SODIMM slot x 2 •
Maximum memory is up to 32GB

looks like its 32gb, the CPU would support 4 memory slots but laptop only has 2. That could be reason.

All the stores seem to say 32gb - https://www.memorycow.co.uk/laptop/acer/nitro-5-an515-51-series/acer-nitro-5-an515-51-55wl-laptop
and you would think they sell you more if it could use it.
