Max ram for sff optiplex 780

How much ram can a Optiplex 780 SFF hold? What I mean is, how many gigabytes could it hold?

*EDIT My computer has 4 slots with currently 1gb each

Read here under memory: https://www.dell.com/downloads/global/products/optix/en/optiplex_780_tech_guidebook_en.pdf seems like your model (USFF) can hold only 4GB in 2 DIMMs.

I have an Optiplex 380 with 2 RAM slots which was listed as 4GB cpacity and I'm running 2x4GB=8GB DDR3 just fine. Dell only lists what was available and tested with that system when new. Also he said SFF not USFF which is different.
Crucial.com says 16GB for the SFF and they guarantee their kits to work.
