Hey all! I bought a new laptop with a 6700hq in combination with a gtx970m.

I played the new star wars nbattlefront and i noticed that my cpu and gpu temps are a bit high even with custom cool past. I played about 1 hour with everything on max (als AA). The temps are 71c degrees for the cpu core (and package) and 70c degrees for the GPU. Should i get worried or doesn't the lifespan decrease with these temps?

thanks !

Those temps are normal for a laptop that is being pressed hard. I wouldn't worry unless your temps get over 80 or so. Just be sure to keep the vents clear and check for dust regularly.
Hey how did you see what your temperature actually was? I have a laptop with the i76700hq and I usually use openhardwaremonitor (which is great btw) but I can't see any indication of temperature units? It's really bugging me!

i had 92celsius max (avg around 80) after little of playing WoW also Dota2 with ambien t tempnature 25. but my motherboard is always hotter than cpu or gpu. it starts to becoming little too hot. (separate cooler for gpu and cpu, ideapad 700 series)

I dont feel any slowdowns, downclocks, so its possible that this is under critical? 😀

I laughed a little. For laptops if under heavy load your cpu gets to only 70 degrees... that's insanely good. Many powerfull laptops go almost to the 100 degrees limit. Your temps are very good and as long as you keep your vents clean, the temps should remain the same. With time the temps will go up. once they reach almost 85-90 degrees just open the laptop up, change thermal paste if you can and just brush everything with a soft brush.
