What is the max volt on my Kingston hyper x...also named KHX8500D2K4/4g...i know it says cl 5-5-5-15 and 2.2 voltage om the hp, but i been having some trouble with my pc and wanted to know how high i can go before i damage the memory?
Some people said to me it could be my memory that needed more voltage....
My problem happend after ibought 2x Club 3d 4870x2 cards, my pc started to shutdown instant like when there is no power and i dont even get a warning...
My pc is this:
Intel core2 duo cpu E8500 3.16GHz
Gigabyte X48-DQ6 [Bios Nyeste]
Antec Truepower Quattro 1000W
4 stk Ram Ddr2 1066Mhz
Club 3d 4870x2 2 Gb Memory
Club 3d 4870x2 2 GB Memory
Level one Wireless Netkort
Nec Dvd brænder 16x
Cdrom Drev 50x
2x 500gb
1x1500gb
So how high can i maxx for with voltage for them, they are at 2.274 now.

I have serious doubts that increasing memory voltage will resolve a system shutdown issue. What you describe might be caused by overheating (you added 2 video cards that generate a lot of heat and probably decreased cooling for the motherboard). When a CPU fan failed to start on one of my systems, it would work for several minutes and then shutdown without any warning.

Not much..a little.

this is how my mobo looks like.

http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Products/Motherboard/Products_Overview.aspx?ProductID=2765

these are how my graphic cards looks like in quadfire.

So the heat from these and + the take alot of space you can image how the heat is... i got 2x 120mm coolers and 2x 90mm coolers taking air in and out of the macchine too help there.

but how am i gonna coal the x48 chip more?

Do you get the shutdown issue at idle or only when the system is busy? Can you reproduce the problem quite easily or does it rarely occur? If it's relatively easy to reproduce, you could open the side panel and direct a fan toward the motherboard. That should keep it cool enough for you to determine if NB overheating is the issue or not.

i have 2 fans 1x120mm and 1x90mm blowing air into the machine from the side.

1x90mm from the front blowing air into the computer.

1x120mm taking air out of the machine at the back just under the psu.

so it should get the air away.

i also tried once having no side panel on....it help..so it must be a heat problem.
