Question Maximum 120 Hz on HP 27xq 144Hz monitor

Hallo everyone,

I recently purchased the 2560x1440 HP 27xq FreeSync 144Hz Monitor. But I can only get 120Hz on Windows setting and the display has a serious judder/double image on 120 Hz. I use DisplayPort, which supports 144Hz on 1440p.

I've tried to make a custom resolution in amd radeon settings. But it says my display does not support these custom settings.

144hz for this monitor is only possible via overclock.

First, look for an “Overclock” menu option within the monitor’s setting before forcing the overclock with software .
