I have one of these machines, which I recently upgraded to 16MB of memory. It's a 4th gen i5 (4570T, as I recall). I'm trying to get a few more years out of it and I'm wondering what is the fastest processor I can put in it (with more cores)? I've read the 4770T, but then I also see there is a 4790T. It needs to be the low power version, hence the "T" designation. Since it is LGA1150, could I go with a newer generation (Broadwell), or would it not even be supported by the motherboard? I know people have put XEONs in them, but I'm not looking to go that route. I'm a little sticker shocked at the price I'm seeing looking up these 4th gen cores...I assume because of dwindling supply, so a newer gen would probably be preferable if I can do it.
