I am having Dell inspiron 560s and m currently having Kingston 2gb DDR3 PC3-10700 and my processor is intel pentium dual core.
I want to buy another 4gb *1 memory , will my slot will be able to support 4gb in one slot ? and will 4gb and 2gb will both work at the same time ? i want to make my total memory 6gb
the specs of the 4gb ram which i want to buy is Kingston 4GB 1600MHz DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) SODIMM Thanks in advance. And also tell what do "SODIMM" means !

your computer will work also with 8gb ddr3(2x4gb). i woud recomend you to buy 2x4gb ddr3 memory for it tu run in dual channel mode. sodimm memorys are for notebooks usually

2gb maximum per slot !
8gb overall (4x 2GB)

sodimm is not supported by your pc, it's physically smaller and will not fit into standard ddr3 slots

use normal ddr3 dimms unbuffered

which processor exactly? use cpu-z

2x2GB should be sufficient for your system. do you have a 64bit or 32bit Windows?

I am currently using 2gb ddr3 pc3-10700 , 1333Mhz ram , but for the specs of ram for inspiron 560s , the limit is 1066Mhz.And my ram is working perfectly from last 4 years ... Then how the ram is working ? and will the 1600mhz ram will work ?
