I am adding a M.2 SSd, and my asus manual says"when the M.2_2 Socket3 is operating in PCIEX4 mode, SATA port SATA6G_56 will be disabled." I do not see a SATA6G_56, but there is a 5 and a 6. Are they telling me both SATA ports will be disabled? If this is the case, I will not be able to use that socket, and will have to run M.2 in SATA mode in a different socket, as I have 5 of the 6 available SATA ports being used.....

Solution
M.2_1 right below the cpu socket does the following
* in PCIe mode its fine
* in sata mode it disables SATA port 1

M.2_2 at the bottom of the board
* only runs in PCIe and will disable SATA ports 5 & 6

So if you want to install a NVME m.2 card in your computer without disabling sata ports it has to be in the slot right under your CPU.
