I have 7 fans in my case and i going to put another one fan. The maximus ix hero mobo has 8 headers 4pins(CPU_FAN, CPU_OPT, CHA FAN1,2,3, AIO_PUMP, W_PUMP+, H_AMP) and 1 header 5 pins which is the EXT_FAN. I used all the 7 header 4pins for my 7 fans and the 1 header to CPU_FAN for noctua nh-d15 with the splitter for the 2 fans of noctua. All fans works but have different rpm.
I have 3 questions:
My fan configuration is correct?
Should i used the CPU_OPT to my second fan of the noctua and not the noctua splitter? (which is connect to CPU_FAN and the splitter have one 4 pins and one 3 pins)
should i used only the 3 headers CHA_FAN1 ,2 ,3 for my fans with cables splitter ?

Solution
there is nothing wrong with your fan configuration.
you wont both fans on the CPU cooler on the same speed - splitter is the easiest and most practical way.
on this MB you can configure the fan headers individually, so you can adjust the fan curves so the fans will run at about the same speed. If you have identical fans and want some of them to run on the same RPM, using splitter is the most convenient way. don't connect more than 3 fans to the same header.

So is better to connect the second fan of noctua nh d15 to CPU_OPT header?

ok thank you, i have another question what is the best for my 3-pins corsair fans PWM mode or DC mode ? (there is an option in bios)
