Maximus VII Hero problems.

Hey so I finished building my first PC using the maximus vii hero, an i7 4790k processor, evga geforce gtx 970 ftw graphics, corsair h100i cooling, and a cx 750 psu from corsair. My problem is that my PC will not boot. When I turn on the power my motherboard lights up and the "start" and "reset" buttons light up but nothing happens when they are pressed.
No fans are spinning, whether it be the cooler, graphics card, pc case fans, or even the fan on the psu. The pins on the CPU are not bent and both the cpu 8 pin power and 24 pin power are connected. Im guessing the problem is with my power supply but not exactly sure. Any help is appreciated.

CX series doesn't belong in a nice setup like yours.

Double check your wiring, Perhaps you've plugged the wrong cable into the cpu power for example. (it's happened to me)

@warhead the cable I have plugged into the cpu power is labeled as cpu 🙁 @sr 71 do you think that is why the mobo would light up but nothing else happens, no fans spin or anything

use the usb flashback port and a usb stick to place the newest bios file onto the mb. before you do this look at the last 4 number on the mb serial number there the bios rev of the mb.

I have the same mobo and PSU as your and I felt the same thing you experienced.

The CX PSU has a poor latch on the 24 pin cable, press it in a little harder till you can hear a very dim click. If you can;t hear anything pull the cable out a bit and if it doesn't want to go out, you know its secured.

When I built my PC with the CX PSU, the PC wouldn't turn on and I was dumbfounded. So I basically push the cable in harder then my PC started up!

Try this method. Just whatever you do DON'T push it too hard.

I tried both the bios flashback and pushing in the 24 pin connector, but still nothing. My question now is if the mobo lights are on but nothing else is would that be my mobo problem or could my psu possibly be dead

Do you think the PSU is the problem why the leds on the mobo light up but none of the fans go on and the pc itself does not power on, although all cables are plugged in. (checked multiple times)

Could be the PSU , I had a DOA CX600 a few years back.

I just purchased this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438019&nm_mc=TEMC-RMA-Approvel&cm_mmc=TEMC-RMA-Approvel-_-Content-_-text-_- (went for a much better psu, just because I'm frustrated and been trying to find out why this is happening) Been trying to fix it for the past week 🙁

It's possible it could be board or PSU.

I'm thinking it's the PSU because not a single fan in the case is moving, or even try to move when powering the PC. I have the PowerSW , ResetSW, etc all plugged in but nothing will turn on. Even hitting the start button on the mobo does nothing. Even the fan on the PSU doesnt move.

It needs replaced anyways , so PSU is a good place to start.

Yeah I just want to get the PC built already. It's been depressing taking it apart and back together a bunch of times to just have it not work.

It's happened to me before , it's a pain to not have it fire right up.
