Anyone still bitching about server problems, hasn't played the game and is just trolling on message boards because they couldn't afford to buy the game in the first place. The server issues have all but vanished days ago. Anyone who has actually played the game would be bitching about how completely broken the simulation itself is. Eliminating the required internet connection is not going to fix those problems. RCI, education, traffic, intercity transactions, syncing problem within the region are all horribly broken. EA needs to fix all those problems WAY before they waste time eliminating the required internet connection.

The reason its working now is 3 out of 4 people returned it and the servers can almost handle the load.
Always on DRM, I am not now or ever will be buying it, even if I miss out on the next gen Xbox over it.

[citation][nom]ddpruitt[/nom]Too few servers, no load balancing, and poorly configured systems. They went the cheap route. For whatever reason EA doesn't know how to properly configure servers or set up a proper dynamic load balancing system across all of it's services.[/citation]
What did you expect? Gaming industry has about the lowest paying IT jobs so why would any capable SW designer work for them when they could work for Google, Facebook, banks etc.?

I have never believed that the always-online requirement is for the benefit of better gaming experience since day one! EA and any company associated with it are losing my more of my respect toward them. Greedy and ignorant businessmen!
