MB Recognizes SSDs But Not HDs !?

I've got an Intel dz77ga-70k motherboard and it's acting weird. One of the SATA ports doesn't work at all, and none will recognize 2 different HDs (spindle). Both are 3TB drives. The board does, however, recognize 3 separate SSDs (all Samsung, 1 250G 840 EVO and 2 500G 850 EVOs).

I have no idea what to make of this - any ideas?

If the motherbd is in Legacy moe rather then UEFI, the the largest HDD supported would be 2tb. You pretty much need UEFI to support 3tb+ so please check the bios setting for this.
