Sort of going back to the drawing board here. I was intent on moving forward with the ASUS X99 Deluxe but I've read some concerning articles and I'm also wondering if I'm wasting some additional funding in the MB area given I won't use the blue tooth module.

My build is below, still up for some debate, outside of the processor, I already own that item.

Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-5930K
Power Supply: CORSAIR AX series AX860 860W
CPU Fan: CORSAIR Hydro Series H100i

Motherboard: ASUS X99-DELUXE –OR— ASUS X99-A (CONSIDERING ALL OPTIONS)

Video Card: ASUS STRIX-GTX980
Memory: CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 16GB (4 x 4GB)
HD: 1 Western Digital WD Black WD1002FAEX 1TB, Western Digital WD Blue WD2500AAKX 250GB, & 1Intel 750 Series MLC Solid State

I've also noticed that these are the boards Intel identified as compatible so I'd imagine I'm going to choose from this list for obvious reasons (http://processormatch.intel.com/MotherBoards/CompatibleBoards?componentName=i7-5930K).

I'd prefer to stick with ASUS unless someone has a solid recommendation for why I would go a different route. I will say that my older machine (build in 2011) is running with a GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R which has held up nicely. That being said, I'd still prefer to go with an ASUS.

Are there significant advantages with the Deluxe vs. the X99-A? If so, am I overlooking some of those glaring advantages?

I appreciate everyone's advice and input. If you care, I've included what I deemed was the best fit for me below. The rig is up and humming .. Thanks again for all your help.
