last night and tonight mbm5's alarm went off saying my case temp has reached 55c, i know this is not true, even the readout shows its only 25c. any one ever had that problem?

I had a poroblem with my last MB where monitor programs switched around the CPU and system temp. Which made my CPU look like it was liquid cooled. :)

It doesn't work on my MSI board either. Gives me red hot readings when everything is cool to the touch! Use SpeedFan instead.

the thing is it works just fine, when the alarm goes off i check the temp and its normal. its been fine for months before this started happening.

Change your alarm parameters just a little bit and see what happens. If all the temps are right in BIOS Health then it isn't a bad sensor. Beats me! It sounds like it might have a conflict with another program you've loaded. MBM5 has definite issues with MSI's CoreCenter, for instance.
