i have the most secure computer in the world. It is in the corner, off, not on the internet, and disassemled. Perfect safe state.

Avira for me. AVG became evil bloatware. Mac and Linux have flaws too. OpenVMS if you want to be left safe. Granted, good luck on actually using the OS for your purposes. Windows big market = more attacker/virus/malware/evil monkey syndrome. Sometimes the update helps, sometimes it kills. Test it first. Slap it on a VM and see what happens.
