Measuring hour usage of motherboards through the BIOS?

I wanted to know if motherboards somehow record how many hours of up time they have had through the bios or even how many hours of up time other components have had. Maybe some software that could do such a thing? If only some motherboards do this thing, then the mobo I have is the intel D945PVS with the i945P chipset.

You must not be doing it right. Go to

http://www.lavalys.com/products/everest-pc-diagnostics/

and scroll down near the bottom of the page. There are screen shots there of the program running. A couple of them show the up time of the PC.

Running this on xp, it doesn't show any of those options. I think the system I was running didn't allow for that. Thanks though, this program is useful for other things and I will be using it a lot more often.
