MediaTek announced the 7nm Dimensity 800 SoC that features a built-in 5G modem, a 2.4 TOPS AI processing unit and an octa-core CPU with four A76 cores clocked at 2GHz.

I read about this and the other 5G chipsets and I think MediaTek is doing a fine job in the 5G smartphone chipset department. Recently, they launched the MediaTek Dimensity 1000C chipset and this was touted to be better than even Snapdragon 765G. No doubt, I see MediaTek as the leader in the 5G chipset segment in the upcoming years and perhaps, they would shun all the competitors. Now MediaTek has the highest number of 5G smartphone chipsets in the market and they look better than even Snapdragon, Kirin and Exynos 5G series. What do you think?
