Mediatek driver compatible with Powerlink Hermes?

I'm using PREMIERTEK PowerLink Hermes IEEE 802.11b/g/n : Wi Fi Adapter (PL18N) running XP Pro and noticed a new May 6th, 2015 Mediatek driver update for the Ralink chipset rt3072 (my current driver issued 8/20/2012).

However, it says "Hardware Requirements : You must have an MediaTek Wireless product." Will this work with my Premiertek Powerlink Hermes PL18N?

I found that Premiertek is actually pointing to Mediatek and that's where you get the updated drivers.
Why they're using different names is clear as mud.
All is well.
