Melting heat pipes hyper x

Basically I got a hyper x 212 evo and it almost fits in the case the problem is the copper pipes stick up to high. Can you melt the tip down or will that mess it up

If you want to let the "magic smoke" out go right ahead. They're sealed for a reason. If it won't fit the case you have 2 options. One, obtain a deeper case, or two, obtain a different (lower profile) cooler.

Explain what you mean buy smoke... So using a soldering iron won't work. Mine is butane and can remove the tip.

Thanks and didn't release it was like that I always thought it was just a copper pipe. But apparently there was more to it then I thought.... gues I'll be getting a smaller cooler then

If you have a metal side on your case you can drill holes for the pipes to poke out of or hammer the case side to dent out a bit to fit the pipes...

At first I thought you OCd your CPU to the point that it melted the pipes..lol I was going to say JOB WELL DONE!
