Memory compatible with 6350

Solution
It will be fine with 1333 Mhz RAM

You can also get a 6300 and overclock it yourself . The 6350 has a better cooler but that is the only physical difference . The price difference might be worth it for you

The psu wattage you need will be determined by your graphics card more than the processor .

Your graphics card is important to power usage too so I would have to guess

Do I have to use two sticks? Will it not boot if I don't? Reason I ask is I am on a budget. My ram is corsair Model#: CMV4GX3M1A1333C9. What I really need to know is, will the fx 6350 work on 1333mhz ram. That is the highest frequency my motherboard supports. My motherboard is a ga78lmt-usb3.

Yes I already have the motherboard. I am currently running an athlon II 640. I will be ordering the cpu either tomorrow or in December, just waiting to see if I can maybe get it on sale. I may end up buying it in December at regular price. I read on the internet the fx6350 is compatible with 1866mhz ram. Will it run with 1333mhz ram? I also need help with my psu. My psu is a corsair cx430. Will that support the fx6350? Thank for the help.

Hey thanks for confirming the memory will work. As for graphics, I am going to use the integrated graphics on the motherboard. I will eventually get an external video card but not right now. As for cpu cooler I am going to order an cooler master hyper 212 evo. Thanks for the help. I have had a few hic ups along the way, but build a computer your self is the way to go.

my kingston hyperx genesis 1600 cl9 1.65v works just fine ...
but yes 1.5 volts is a better choice for amd...
i think the requirement is that the stick needs to be able to boot @ 1.5v on standard jedec speeds...

After research and the help on here, I think I will go with the FX6300 and I will get another 4GB corsair 1333mhz ram stick. Then I will have two 4GB sticks for dual channel. The 6300 being lower wattage will be good for my needs and I have no real need to OC so the stock speed will be great too.

make sure the model number of the ram stick is the same, you don't want to end up in a situation where the sticks could have different timings,
dual channel usually works this way but it's not 100% guaranteed unless the both sticks are from a "kit" ... but from my experience - you'll be fine,
the mem controller even tries to adjust the timings on different modules so that they match at the lowest values... however that's not recommended
