being new to learning about the fine in's and out's of computer hardware, I'm unclear what certain terms relating to memory mean. Can anyone explain or post a link that explains the following terms?

--cas2, cas3, etc etc

--latency

thanks for the info

CAS2, CAS3 are the latenciesm in clock cycles, and the latencies are the "lag times." CAS2 is faster than CAS3. If I remember correctly, someone posted a "General Knowledge" for memory thread sometime ago. I'm not sure if you'd be able to find it though.
