Memory for Asus M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 to fit Scythe Ninja 3 Cooler

Hi Guys

I'm currently upgrading my system and for a few days already I cannot find the answer to my questions.

What is the best 8GB DDR3 RAM for my Asus M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 motherboard, with AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition CPU and Scythe Ninja 3 cooler installed?

My main concern is to buy the best 8GB memory for this build in terms of gaming performance and overclocking capabilities. There are two things for consideration:
a) what would be the choice in terms of CAS Latency for this mobo and CPU? (I've already determined the speed for 1600)
b) will it fit under the cooler, and even if so, will it impact the memory if it is very tightly fitting under the cooler?

My current comp. spec below:
Motherboard - ASUS M4A89GTD PRO/USB3
CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition (beeing installed right now)
Graphics card: Zotac Geforce GTX 570 AMP! Edition
Cooler: Scythe Ninja 3
RAM: Geil GV34GB1333C9DCN
System hard drive: standard (will be OCZ Vertex 3 SATA III 2.5" SSD - 120 GB, to be purchased together with this upgrade)
Power Supply: enough to handle even more


My initial ideas were to buy one of these G. Skills products (honestly - I don't see any difference, maybe you can tell me):

Does CL7 make a real difference worth paying much more than for example for these CL8? (again see no difference...):

I know I'm just giving G. Skills examples, but it's the brand recommended by my friends. Any other types worth recommending? I am pretty sure that Corsair Vengeance won't fit.

The "best" memory can only be determined by trial and error. All the system's components contribute to the final outcome.
That being said, if you want to eliminate any/most chance of crashes and BSODs as you overclock... pick a memory combo on the board's QVL.

That memory has been tested under extreme conditions and promised to work by the manufacturer. Other memory will probably work fine too. But you take a small chance of timing issues with other RAM.

Ok, the part with cooler is not a problem anymore, I've measured everything and it should be ok with RAM up to 40 mm height. I'll just have to check what happenes when RAM fits very tightly between mobo and cooler (potential overheating?).

Refering to your answer clutchc - unfortunatelly on the QVL there's no proper 8GB RAM (only one 4x2GB in extremely high price).

I was more counting on people who have such a combination of mobo and CPU to share their experience - which RAM is not problematic in terms of OC, which deliveres best results with and without OC, which is easy to OC, is the Latency difference between 7 and 8 something that makes a difference, is there any difference between Sniper and Ripjaws with the same latency and speed.

Now I know that the subject might be misleading, but since I cannot edit it, I still look forward to receiving some recommendations from people who have similar build.
