I am building up a system using an Abit NF7-S v2.0 motherboard and an AMD Athlon 3200+ Socket A processor. I want to get new memory for this system. Can somebody tell me how much memory this board will hold, the type I should buy and recommend a good source for memory? I would like to try to run Windows 7 on the machine if possible.

Thanks!

Is it the one?

Yes, that's the one. Thanks for the quick answer!

Also, if I decided to give up on the NF7-S and look for a new board and processor, do you know the latest and greatest out there which can use an ATX case? What processor should I be going after now (been a few years since I was building these).

Thanks again!

OK, what is your budget?

$400 would get u 4-5 x faster system

$660 will be 7-8x faster

I think I can re-use the case and that's about it. The Vidio card is an AGP and I think most of the new boards are beyond that. The memory is the old type and I think the hard drive has had it. Maybe the monitor is ok.

Am I better off with 3GB of DDR333 (i.e. - 3 X 1GB of PC2700) or 2GB of DDR400 (i.e. 2 X 1GB of PC3200) with this board?
