Memory hardware reserve issue

System Specs: i5 750, mobo Asus p7 h55 mlx, memory 8gb(4*2),one slot which is closed to processor is not detecting ram on bios but if i put both rams then system starts and BIOS show only 4gb usable, then windows show 8gb with 4 gb hardware reserved, this issue diminishes sometime by itself but mostly not

got the same issue, try opening msconfig and click boot tab-advanced options, and make sure maximum memory box is not checked. if so, uncheck and restart. Didn't solve my issue, but it has helped others according to google. might help you.
