Memory is not compatible with the motherboard?

I bought a new motherboard suggested by someone on here and this one actually has specific memory for it (unless they all do http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/B75M/?cat=Memory ). I put my old memory inside (which is not listed on the manufacture site - DDR3-1333 4GB F3-10666CL9D-4GBNS) and started to boot.

The screen came on, windows started to boot and then blue screen split second, then restarted the cycle.

Now I have no display and my computer keeps turning off and rebooting by itself by the psu. Any clue whats going on?

Every retail motherboard will have a "qualified vendor list" for compatible memory. It doesn't mean that RAM not on the list is guaranteed NOT to work but RAM on the list is certified TO work properly.

Can you provide more info on the new mobo, what it replaced, the other specs?

Try unplugging everything but the PSU, CPU, RAM and front panel power button and try to boot. Re-seat the RAM. If you have other RAM try it. Take the board out of the case and re-test on a safe non-condictive surface (the anti-static bag the board came in works great).

I replaced it with this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130588 ,which will soon be RMAing.

As far as Video card goes, i took everything out that is not requried to boot windows and this still happens (cd rom, hdd, left only 1 stick of ram, etc).

Well, which power supply did you buy?

Also, you have to reinstall Windows when you install a new motherboard. I had to do it on my past 3 builds. You can't just install a HDD with Windows on it and expect it to work.

100% certain that is the problem.....unless you did reinstall Windows.

I bought an antec 550 watts 80 plus from staples, which would replace my Antec EarthWatts EA-500D Green 500W ATX12V v2.3 / EPS12V 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply, if anything is wrong with it.

You say i should have had a new hdd? i didn't know that. Fine, should that be stopping me from even displaying what's on the monitor? Should it keep restarting my computer even when no hdd is hooked up?

that's the thing.

As i mention before, when i first set up the motherboard, i actually saw windows trying to boot and then the blue screen for a split second, followed by windows restarting and asking me if they could fix the problem in a cycle. So as you guys have mention, the HDD may as well have been causing that for it wasn't reinstalled, but then what caused it to show no display? I don't know.

Hardware problem, i disconnect mostly everything and this still is happening, i'm guessing ram, not psu?

Can it be the motherboard itself with the problem? It beeps 4 times.
