Hi all,
I have an old computer with Intel core 2 duo E4500 processor.
MB: Intel GM45+ICH9+lga775 (Lords motherboard).
Memory is 4GB DDR3.
I have installed windows 10 and android studio. System is now very slow. (Understandable).
My core 2 duo E4500 processor, I understand, is allowing only 4GB RAM. There are two RAM slots.
Can I change the processor alons and bring it upto 8GB RAM so that my functional needs are catered to?
I am not a gamer nor I use any memory intensive applications.
Tanks in advance.

do you know the exact model of the motherboard?

According to ark.intle.com the GM45 on DDR3 ram the board should be able to handle 8GB, so you would need to buy some ddr3. 2sticks by 4GB each at 800/1066Mhz if possible try to buy this as a kit so the sticks are matched and work together, buying 2 single sticks of the same thing has a chance of not working with each other.
