Hey Guys, I have a problem and I have tried quiet a bit of googling to find answers, but everything I have found has just made me more confused.

My computer is giving me a bunch of random guff regarding RAM and I really want to know how to get it up to speed. My computer has two sticks installed, one 4gb and one 8gb, both ddr3 1600mhz.
Mobo is ASRock N68-VS3 FX, I notice the mobo FSB is 1000MHz (2.0 GT/s)

Task manager says 333mhz (12gb total)
CPU-Z says dram frequency is 535mhz (12 gb total)
Speccy says 535mhz (12gb total)
Bios says… A1 DDR3_1066 4096 / 533mhz
B1 none

I tried going into the bios because I heard you could run “AMP - amd memory profile” but I found nothing.

I am fairly new to computer upgrading so any tip would be appreciated. Correct me if I am wrong but 1600mhz ram should appear as 800mhz (double data rate) in all of these programs.

I can see that 535 is half 1066 so most of them seem to believe my ram is 1066mhz. So my questions are should I worry about the bios not seeing one of my ram sticks. More importantly can I set both to 1600mhz?

You can run DDR for MATCHED modules for that board. Page 16 of your manual states you will only be able to run in single channel mode with a mismatched config.

Your CPU wasn't identified. Your controller may only support 1066 (at half rate single channel), even if the memory supports faster operation.
