Memory running differently than specs

Since 2012, in an i7-2600K and now i5-4690K machine, I was using a matched pairs of G.Skill Sniper's and Ares DDR3's with the same specs and 2x4gb each. It's to be seen yet whether or not some problems I've had over the years were related to mixing models, but I just got two sets of Ares 2x8gb DDR3-2133, 1.6v, CL10-12-12-31. While they run fine, pages and programs often loading a bit faster than the previous set, CPU-Z and Speccy show them running as CL9-9-9-24 and at 665 MHz. I didn't make any adjustments in BIOS, just started up. My two questions are how are the latency and timings running differently than the specs, and do I need to adjust the BIOS to bring up the speed? The mobo is a Gigabyte Z97-UD5H-BK and I'm not overclocking. The previous bunch, DDR3-2133, CL11-11-11-30, 1.6v, did run up around spec speed. Thanks,

Thanks. After what you suggest, it shows the spec's latency and timings, but the DRAM frequency is 1066.5 MHz. The mobo manual shows support for DDR3 1600/1333, but I could swear the other night it was higher than that with the last set. The BIOS version is F8 right now and F3 shows enhanced memory ability as part of the upgrade description, which makes me think that figure was raised along the way.
