Question Memory speed not showing correct speed??

I brought 2 sticks of 8gb DDR4 memory clocked @ 2400Mhz but it's only showing 1200Mhz instead but it use to say 2400Mhz not sure what may have caused this to happen...

Any ideas guys?? I'm at a loss at the moment

DDR is Double data rate, so i'm not surprised it reads 1200.

Ah thanks, I see but why does it say 1200 now where before it actually said 2400Mhz it's confusing a lil bit haha, Can it have anything to do with the memory timings being set wrong in my bios? It does actually still say 2400mhz in the bios!

bios may report 'better', no rhyme or reason, could be a software update in the background.

I found out that It was caused by me updating the bios so i updated it again to the newest one and now it shows as 2400Mhz again
