Hello crew,

Long story short, Battlefield 4 release is next week with recommended 8gb of memory. So I am in the market for new memory.

Will either of these two work with my motherboard and will I notice a difference in the MHz increase with the sniper series.
G.SKILL Sniper Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866MHz
Corsair Vengeance 8 GB ( 2 x 4 GB ) DDR3 1600 MHz

My Specs
Processor - Intel Q9550 Core 2 Quadcore
Mobo - NVIDIA nForce 790i Ultra SLI
GPU - Nvidia GTX 660ti

Solution
Keeping in mind tou must run the FSB to at least the same as your DRAM freq 1600 is the best bet, getting the FSB to 1866 is very, very difficult and thinking 2400 is rather ridiculous, will need increases to DRAM, vCore and NB voltages prob even at 1600 if the FSB isn't already there

I haven't tweaked my FSB at all in the past so I will probably keep it at the 1600, then look at tutorials on matching the FSB and DRAM freq as you suggested. Thanks for the insight, hopefully the install and bios tweeks go smoothly so you won't have to hear from me.

Tradesman1, I just read your read through "Information on Motherboard QVL lists" and just read my CPU only has one listing for FSB at 1333mhz and a FSB Parity of "Yes"(not sure what that means). Will I be able to OC the FSB to 1600 or am I forced to look into 1333mhz 8gb. It seems like the safer bet to just roll with the 1333mhz.
