Memory Upgrade (currently have Tri channel DDR3) Motherboard is Quad Channel

Hey guys!

So I am on the market for new ram, and I was wondering if speeds make much of a difference. I know timing help much more generally from my past experience.

Currently I'm using 6 GB OCZ3G1600LV2G

Looking to upgrade. There have been people telling me that if I have a Quad Channel Motherboard it's best to keep it in Quad channel for stability.

My motherboard and computer specs should be in my sig, but I'll paste it here just in case..

I do light video editing, programming and photoshop work.

I'd look to a 4x4GB set, the 16GB will be very good for the video and image work, have all channels running and get the boost from quad channel - something like the RJ Zs if looking for 1600 sticks

Thanks for suggestion, I live in Canada so prices may vary😛 but I'll just aim for 16 GB so that it's cheap.😀

Might check w/ NewEgg Canada, they seem to have decent prices
