Memory upgrade for Aurora

Hello,
I currently have 1066 9gb and would lke to upgrade to 1600 12gb. The problem is, Aurora manual mentions that I can use all 6 slots for 1066 and 1333 memory, and only slots 1,3,and 5 for 1600. I would like to overclock my i920, but I can't due to 1066 memory (it's only running at 3.2 maximum), and I also would like to have 12gb in all six slots.
I would greatly appreciate if somebody can tell me whether or not I can use 2gbx6 1600 for this particular model (i920, x58, 9gb)

Do you have the ability to configure the memory multiplier to 6x, or FSB : DRAM ratio (I know it's not FSB but that's what it may be called) to 2:6? If so then 1333 MHz RAM will work fine, you will have a max BCLK of 222 MHz which is well over 4.0 GHz on the stock multiplier (222 MHz x 6 = ~ 1333 MHz ).

Don't know 1600 MHz RAM modules will work though unfortunately.

To use all six memslots, you must run 1600 MHz memory @ 1333 MHz speed.
(or, you can run 1333 MHz memory @ 1066 MHz speed, like I do.)
Note: 1066 MHz memory in triple-channel is the equal of 1600 MHz memory in dual-channel. Triple-channel is the key!
It seems that 1600 MHz memory @ 1600 MHz in all 6 slots is a no-go for you
(but nobody needs that anyway... 38.4 GB/s memory bandwidth? Heheh, it's a bit beyond the CPU...)
It's too bad if you have 1066 MHz memory - perfectly fine to just run it, but it won't overclock.
If you must buy new RAM, get 1600 MHz in all 6 slots, but run it @ 1333 MHz.
Now you are ready to OC! As you increase FSB your RAM will increase too - so your max OC will be when the memory reaches 1600 MHz again.
But since you have specified 1333 MHz (in BIOS) as your starting point, it should allow all six slots.
Of course, you could do the same thing with 1333 MHz RAM @ 1066 MHz, and mem performance will still be more than adequate...
