Hey guys i really really need help with some questions regarding ram upgrade

I want to buy dell inspiron 7567 which comes with 8gb sk hynix ddr4-2400....i want to add more ram to it i dont even know is the current ram is good enough

i consulted dell they said i cant put non certified ram it will void my warranty ( possible solution to keep the warranty intact even with non certified ram ) but i really want to use high speed ram like cosair vengenance lpx 3200mhz or g skill 3200mhz (16gb) stick (mother board - intel 100 series , HM175 to be specific )

As i seen on internet 2400 mtz rams use 1.2v and higher over clocked rams like 3200mtz uses 1.35v so how much power is 1.35v is , how much it will impact the battery life of my laptop or it will not impact much for instance if i can game up to 2 hours with the current setup how much it will reduce with 16 gb 3200mtz rams

Solution

If its working then not an issue. From 1.2V to 1.35V there wont be much discharge on your battery.

Peace.
The problem is not the impact on your battery but rather the fact that many rams simply won't run with Dell. I've seen many cases where common ram sticks are not working with Dell laptops. You'd better have a full research before buying any ram and check for memory combatibility. The question is, what are you aiming for to proceed to such an upgrade with high frequency ram? If it is for gaming, then you won't see any real world difference. 8 gb of 2400 ram is just fine. If you need more ram, the best option would be to sell your 2x4 gb and buy a 2x8 gb pair, making sure it is supported by Dell.
Concerning the battery i wouldn't worry about it. Remember that you should not charge your battery while under load or you will reduce the life span of the battery itself.

if you shift from 1.2V to 1.35 there wont be much discharge on your battery, but when you increase the sticks you may find the difference. Better stay with 2400mhz since it is recommended and you never know if 3200mhz ram will work on you laptop. And volt doesn't just depend on speed. 2400mhz comes with 1.65V,1.2V etc.

Peace.

Thx for the reply just a last question i want to ask if 3200mtz will work fine there is not gonna be a big difference on battery life when i shift from 1.2 volt to 1.35 mtz ,
