Question Memory Upgrade on Asus CM6870

I have an Asus CM6870 installed in my computer. I have 4-4gig sticks of ram to equal 16 gigs of ram. I want to add some more memory and have ordered one 16 gig stick of ram. The max on the motherboard is 32 from doing research online. I am wondering if I were to install the 16 gig stick with the 3-4gigs to make 28, would this work? Just curious. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Your guess is as good as anybody's it might or might not. Mixing RAM is quite a risky business.
