Memory Upgrade on Dell Optiplex 780 SFF

So, most of the questions that I can see for 780 memory upgrades either talk about the mini-tower or about something that contradicts what I’ve already read, and I need some confirmation.
Recently, I bought 2 sticks of 4GB DDR3, unregistered, 1333MHz, PC3 10600. So, expecting it to work, I plugged 1 stick into DIMM 1 and pressed the power button after I plugged it back in. Nothing. Updated the BIOS to A15. Remove, replace, nothing. It’s beginning to frustrate me. Every article and question that I go to tells me something different. So I need some closure before I sell the memory.
Can a Dell Optiplex 780 SFF, updated with the latest BIOS and on a Core 2 Quad, handle 4gb sticks of RAM? A yes or a no is all I need.

But all the parts they sell for it are x64 bit low density RAM, so x128 bit modules might not work.
Sometimes No.
They should be installed in pairs, first in the slots with white latches, then another pair in the other 2 slots.
