Hi,
These are my specs:
5820k i7
GA-X99 SLI
16Gb RAM 2133mhz

So, i'm trying to add another 16gb, exact module of RAM, i'm inserting it in the slot that is should be installed in according to the motherboard manual and the pc won't boot, just stays on but nothing happens, no signal on screen.

If I insert it on another slot, PC boots but it doesn't recognize the expansion.

My questions are:
Are the slots installment guide in the motherboard manual the only way for the module to be recognized or is it just an optimization recommendation?
Second, what can be the problem? Can it be a bios issue?

If the latest BIOS doesn't help, try raising the VCCSA voltage to about 1.2-1.25, there are no guarantees when mixing packages of DRAM, and X99 can be particularly picky as it's native to quad channel. Been doing a lot of playing with my X99 (in sig)
