Question Memory usage over 60-70% when idle

When not running any programs, my memory is at 65+%. I also have over 80 background processes at all times, depending on what I have open. I will put a snip of the memory usage.

If you have only 8GB of RAM, it does not take much beyond the OS itself to reach 70% memory utilization. I'm usually around 12GB in use on a normal day.

I never before had this. And my os isn't even in the top 20 of usage.

Most of the OS RAM usage does not appear in the "Process" memory usage list. Out of the 12GB I currently have in use out of 32GB available, only ~7GB shows up in the process tab.

For me if I check the usage tab, it's, 6.0GB used out of 7.9GB. Idk where I can check the ram that doesn't show up.

Can't do miracles with 8GB, that's why 16GB is the recommended amount for comfort.

Can't really upgrade a laptop 🙁 and I'm still about halfway off my savings for my new PC.
