Memory won't go above 1333mhz

So I just bought the Corsair CMY16GX3M2A2400C11R (2 x 8 GB 2400 mhz ram) to go into my system and it will not allow it to boot above 1333mhz. Specs are: Intel core i7 3770K, ASrock Z77 Extreme6. I have the latest version of BIOS for the board. Things I have tried: loading XMP profile 1.3, setting CAS and speed manually, slightly increasing VTT voltage. Nothing has seemed to work, any suggestions?

bump the ram volts to 1.6 and try for 1866 if it boots try for 2133 if it fails try bumping the ram to 1.65 max. if it boots again try the max speed.
some ram is sold as being low power but more often than not it will need to be run at 1.5-1.65v to get the max speed.

The minimum DRAM voltage setting on this mobo is 1.65V. I tried lowering the clock to 1866, but it still won't boot. I get a message stating "the system failed to boot several times before," any time I try to change it from 1333mhz or load the XMP.

To run the sticks at 2133 or 2400 is more than likely going to require an OC of the CPU, try OCing to 4GHz and then try XMP (make sure you have the latest BIOS)

Tried taking the CPU to 4 GHz and the same cycle happened. No idea what the issue could be. Perhaps the mobo is faulty with OC settings? Or do the 3rd gen i7's only support up to 1600 mhz?

What DRAM and VTT voltage settings (I ran my 3570K with 32GB of 2400 sticks), might be voltages are off, may need a higher OC of the CPU, or the individual CPUs MC is on the weak side

DRAM and VTT are currently set to auto. VTT is 0.768-1.634V min/max and set at 1.076V. DRAM is 1.65-1.8V min/max, set at 1.65V. Are there any other settings other than CPU speed I would need to change?

Try DRAM voltage as is and take VTT to 1.1

Upped VTT to 1.104 and had CPU at 4 GHz, still won't run the ram any faster than 1333.

I can get it to boot at 1600 with 4 GHz cpu clock.

Did you enable XMP?

When I enabled the XMP at the higher CPU clock, the same cycle of boot error came up. Even trying to push to 1800 mhz causes the boot loop until I change it back.

Might drop the rate to 2133 and try with the same timings initially
