Question memory write speed went to thrash after cpu upgrade

i just installed x5650 in pace of my old i7 930

my memory was and still is running at 1.5k

writing speed dropped to 10k from 15k
latency is 10ns higher.
reading and copy speed seems unaffected
what is going on?

May need to doublecheck your RAM settings in your BIOS/EUFI setup.
