I installed 16G ram to my existing 16. The computer is a HP Elitedesk 800G1
When I reboot I get a message the "The system memory size is different from the last boot, press F1 to configure. A little icon with F1 boot appears at the bottom of the computer, but does nothing when pressing, to make sure it was not the disk, or not seated properly, I changed them all around, finally to get online I took 2 disks out, came on, no matter what two slots or which two memory sticks I use it will only boot when there is 16Ram, putting in one or both of the new sticks, will get the error message. T.I.A.

Solution
Are you trying to click the icon on the screen or actually pressing the keyboard, "F1" function key (just to the right of the ESC Key)?

It has nothing to do with hdd, it's ram meory since you added it. No clue why you can 't enter bios by pressing f1 when it asks you to though. All you basically need to do is enter bios and exit it via "Save & Exit", that will save the new amount of memory you have and stop displaying the message.

Sounds like the bios wants you to approve the change and your keybd isn't working. This may be because you have it plugged into a usb3 port nd the drivers haven't loaded yet. Try plugging it into a usb1 or 2 port, usually on the rear near the top of the case, where the old ps/2 style keyboards would plug in, work best.
