Hello,
About half a year ago my laptop had to be sent in for repairs due to "somebody" knocking over a glass of water over my laptop, since it came back I didn't really have to use it so it has just been sitting in the corner.
Now I need it more often again but with the new installation of windows some trouble appeared. Everytime I try to extract a big archive, doesn't matter if 7zip or rar etc i get crc errors, also occurs with the installation of a few things. After a bit of googling the answer seems to have been that it might be a ram error and that disabling memory remapping might help, well thats not gonna work as I'm using a laptop and the option to disable it is simply not in the bios because the bios is highly reduced by the vendor I suppose, so the option simply does not appear in the bios.
Either way lately my laptop has been acting even weirder, a freeze there, a bluescreen here and now I can't even play mkv files with vlc anymore, though I have no idea why but thats also not why I am posting so nevermind.
I decided to let memtest check my memory and it was fairly obvious that something was not going as it should, heres a pic after 3h of memtest86:
I'm a total amature when it comes to specific things about hardware, I'm not gonna lie about that, but if that result is correct, it means that my pc is using almost 1 GB more ram than I have which seems to result in alot of errors.
As I said maybe thats total BS which is also the reason why I'm posting here.
So, does anyone know whats going wrong/on in my laptop and how to eventually fix it?
Help would be greatly appreciated.
PS here's the description of 3dmark to my ram:
Module 1 -- 8.192 MB Corsair DDR3 @ 800 MHz
Any other questions about the rest of my hardware here is the full result of 3dmark:

That mkv file thing is deffo something else entirely, after the last reboot there's a few mkv files that are now suddenly playing but I can't skip forward, weird, but whatever.
