I recently built a machine:

Asus Rampage IV Extreme
i7 3930k
Corsair Vengeance 16gb 2133hz (4x4)

I started getting blue screens in windows 7 so I ran memtest86

I got 65535+ errors on the first pass on test 8.

do I need to change a configuration in the bios? Or did I get bad Memory?

Also, if it is bad ram, can I tell by the test which stick, or sticks, are bad from the test, or do I have to unplug them all and test them one at a time?

Try testing them with XMP memory profile enabled. This will set them automatic to factory optimized setting. Now test them if they fail memtest, then test again but this time each at a time so unplug one you will now which is the culprit, once spotted RMA. I know its time consuming but this is the best way im afraid. Thanks

Check with CPUz If It shows 1066MHz (1066.7MHz) means your fine and your memory 2133
No worries you have to times your RAM frequency by two to get the actual speed.
It is taking into account the multiplier, so it only shows it as half.
Thanks

I set the Ai Overclock tuner to X.M.P and ran the test again with no errors. Now when I start windows it's only running at 1066.7Mhz. Shouldn't I be able to run it higher than that?
