Hi,

I have no idea where to post this thread so have gone with Memory as Memtest86 is known for Memory testing. Sorry if it is in the wrong place.

Anyway. . . .

Recently i have purchased new ram 1 x 8gb of 3000mhz corsair vengeance LPX. Since then i have had blue screen saying something went wrong on windows 10. I assumed it had to be the new ram as my PC ran fine before this so i downloaded Memtest86 and done a 2 hour test and it came back with 2 errors.

Now it tells you the Error but it doesn't actually tell you what it means and what is wrong and also it says CPU rather than RAM error???

Here are the screen shots below

Now i have no idea what i am looking at so if someone could please shed some light on this i would be truly grateful.

Thank you.

EDIT - Spec are as followed

CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 2600X

GPU - GTX 1070

MOBO - ASUS TUF B450

RAM - 1 x 8GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000mhz

Probably an incompatability with your new ram. Getting un-matched ram to work can be problematical at best and impossible at worst! Sometimes, even the EXACT same ram will not play nice with older ram. Even the manufacturers will not support un-matched ram. They sell ram in matched sets for a reason.
