Messed up big time, ripped the keyboard ribbon cable

And now laptop wont turn on. The power button is a keyboard key. I manged to rip it in half, the connector where the end attaches is fine it's just the cable that's ripped. I tried taping the two halves together and nothing happens.

What are my options besides buying a new laptop? This is the laptop.
